A blind undergraduate is developing an audio-tactile graphics display (TGD) that turns scientific and mathematical diagrams and graphs into a touchable format, in an attempt to make life easier for visually impaired students.

Students with visual impairments in Tyler Texas learn to play baseball, volleyball, golf, and other games at a recreation event focused on encouraging participation in sports and liesure.

Marc Dillon, founder of Unseen Art, is making classic forms of classic art, including paintings and sculptures, more accessible to the blind and visually impaired using 3D printing techniques. 

The 12th biennial Getting in Touch with Literacy Conference brings together the most current thinking on all forms of literacy, including print, braille, auditory, tactile graphics comprehension and the use of assistive technology. Presentations will address the needs of a range of ages and all levels of ability, including conventional and functional literacy.
